IEPL connection
An IEPL connection places the cross-border segment on a relatively independent enterprise-grade transmission path, reducing uncertainty from public international interconnections where possible. Its value is not a guaranteed speed figure, but a better chance of consistent connection quality during busy periods. It suits ongoing meetings, remote desktops, cloud development and long transfers where frequent route changes are undesirable.
Dedicated-route resources generally cost more to obtain and maintain than ordinary public-network paths, making them better suited to scenarios where stability comes first. They are not the default for every task: when a nearby website already works smoothly over a direct path, the simpler route is sufficient.
Best for: remote work · long-lived connections · stability-first use
